Paul is a qualified Mechanical Engineer. He graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from University of Singapore.

 

He has over 35 years of experience in design, tender, negotiation, procurement, contracting, maintenance and senior management experience in M&E engineering and has completed numerous projects across ASEAN countries and China.

 

Prior to Technomec, Paul was senior manager in Genisys Integrated Engineers Pte Ltd, responsible for tendering, procurement, technical support and contracts administration for mechanical & electrical engineering; commercial kitchen equipment; building automation systems(BAS); fire & ELV systems projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and China.

 

Between 1983 to 1988, Paul was Senior Manager in Indeco Engineers Pte Ltd and responsible for establishing the Controls & Automation Division, and assumed overall responsibility overall various departments in business development, sales & marketing, production, research & development, project implementation and maintenance.

Paul was an executive engtineer in the Changi Airport Development Division) of the Public Works Department, where he was a member of the  team responsible for the design, supervision, testing, commissioning and maintenance of various M&E systems at Changi Airport phase 1 & 2.

 

His projects included the Changi airport building automation system, security access system, computerized airfield lighting monitoring & control system as well as air-conditioning systems for Changi airport police Station, Workshop complex, main & domestic Fire Stations & vector control units.

 

He was also involved in the design and development of the airport computerized integrated maintenance management system.

 

He also oversee the Changi Airport building automation monitoring, control & control centre and fault reporting centre where airport maintenance team are based and deployed for maintenance of the Airport M&E installations at Passenger Terminal I, Air Traffic Control Tower, LORADs and Changi Airport Ancillary Building, including runway, taxiway, airfiled lights and power substations.
